WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN?
Check-in times are between 3 PM & 11 PM. We understand you are ready to set your bags down and relax! If you arrive at the hostel before 3:00 PM, we can store your bags for you while you enjoy our common area or go out and explore our fantastic city. Because of our small staff, we cannot have a 24-hour reception. If you are arriving after 11 PM, late check-in arrangements must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late check-ins made without pre-approval are subject to a 15$ fee.
WHAT TIME IS CHECK OUT?
Check-out is anytime until 11 AM. We do not allow for late checkouts as we are working hard to get the hostel turned over for the next guests! Late check-outs will result in a 15$ fee.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand things come up, so we have a 48-hour cancellation policy from the 3 PM check-in time on the date of your stay. If you cancel after 48 hours, your first night will still be charged. No shows without any contact or cancellation will be charged the full amount of stay. Please note, that all reservations are subject to pre-authorization. If your pre-authorization is declined, we will attempt to contact you. If we are unable or the payment continues to decline, your reservation may be canceled.
I'M FROM RICHMOND. CAN I STAY HERE?
We would love for locals to see what we are all about so we allow for local Richmonders to stay for a max of 1 night within a 30-day period. Locals include all those with an ID resembling an address within a 30-mile radius of the hostel. Since we are a travelers hostel, we want to make sure those traveling to our city always have a place to stay!
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
Our centrally located urban hostel does not have a private parking lot, but city street parking is available. There is also a parking garage located on the corner of 2nd and Franklin, one block away from the hostel, that offers parking. For street parking, please pay attention to the posted street signs.
WHAT AMENITIES DO YOU HAVE?
We have many amenities at Seven Hills including free laundry, a complimentary breakfast, and supplied linens. Please note that if you bring your own linens, we will safely store them for you. For a full list of our amenities, please visit our Facilities & Amenities tab.
DO YOU HAVE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
Like most hostels and hotels, we do have age restrictions for safety. Our minimum check-in age is 18. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. It is also important to note that no guests under the age of 12 may be booked in a shared dorm, but please check out our private rooms!
WHAT DO I NEED TO CHECK IN?
Payment is due upon arrival. We do not allow for third-party payments which means all guests must have a card in their name in order to check in for their reservation. No prepaid cards will be accepted. We do not allow credit card authorizations that allow another person (not present) to pay for the reservation. We do not accept payment over the phone. If cash is paid at check-in, a credit card must still be presented to keep on file.

In addition to payment, we require all guests to show identification. For international guests, this means a valid passport. For domestic guests, we require a valid government-issued ID with the current address listed.
I WANT TO COME WITH A GROUP. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

IS DRINKING ALLOWED?
Yes, drinking is allowed, but only for guests over the age of 21. The hostel does not provide alcohol for guests. The hostel also has the right to ask for ID. Drunken behaviors and ANY misuse of alcohol laws will result in immediate removal from the hostel without refund.
